For Shira Bracha Goldblatt of the UK, the responsibility that is part and parcel of becoming a Bat Mitzvah has already taken root, as evidenced by the fact that she is using her special day to take responsibility for a young girl she has never met, a girl with physical and intellectual developmental delays, and to provide her with the therapy and treatments that will enhance the quality of her life.
In celebration of her Bat Mitzvah Twinning Fundraiser, Shira Bracha organized a pre-Chanukah bazaar, aptly named The Chanukah Shop. With numerous goods, including clothing, toys, popcorn, candy and more offered for sale, the bazaar was a smashing success. All proceeds went to ADI Jerusalem to benefit Shirli, Shira Bracha’s ADI twin, and provide her with the extra therapy sessions and treatments that will make a real difference in her development, advancement, and progress.
The extra value that Shira Bracha added to her Bat Mitzvah, proves that the today’s young generation is paving the path to a better, more caring society, a society in which people take responsibility for one another and are willing to exert themselves to strengthen the links that make up the chain of humanity.
Mazal Tov, Shira Bracha.
