ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran was honored to receive back-to-back visits by prominent government ministers, Minister of Health Uriel Busso and Minister of the Interior Mosher Arbel. In two close yet distinct visits, each Minister toured the premises of the Harvey and Gloria Kaylie Rehabilitation Medical Center and the grounds of the ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran Rehabilitation Village which houses the hospital.

Minister of Health Uriel Busso visited the neurological and orthopedic wards with approximately 80 hospitalized patients. Upon seeing the intense therapy, treatments which continued uninterrupted despite the ongoing shelling and complex situation throughout the area, Minister Busso committed to the Ministry of Health’s continued support in providing quality rehabilitative care for residents of the south in close proximity to their homes.

ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran CEO, Avi Wotzman, thanked Minister Busso profusely, adding that, “the Ministry of Health is a central and necessary partner to all activity at the village and the Harvey and Gloria Kaylie Rehabilitation Medical Center. Together, we will continue the path that leads to quality rehabilitative solutions for all residents of the Negev.”

Merhavim Regional Council Head Shai Hajaj and Deputy Council Armi Farag joined Minister of the Interior Moshe Arbel during his visit to the Negev’s first rehabilitation hospital. Together, they met with Avi Wortzman for a tour of the Harvey and Gloria Kaylie Rehabilitation Medical Center, paying special attention to the hospital’s protected wards, physiotherapy wing and the village high dependency unit.

Upon conclusion of the tour, Mr. Hajaj commented that, “The ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran rehabilitation village is the region’s special jewel. The medical center provides amazing top-notch solutions for residents of the south and especially now, to war wounded in need of rehabilitation.”

Minster Arbel added that, “the immense challenges set upon us after Oct. 7 called for quick, immediate, effective quality solutions. The post trauma treatment available at ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran is critical and important. I intend to push forward a continued government decision for the benefit of the village and the rehabilitation hospital, together with other government offices and the Office for the Development of the Negev. It is our moral duty to allocate resources that will provide solutions to all residents of the Negev.”

CEO Avi Worzman concluded the visit with words of thanks to Minister Arbel. “I am grateful to my friend, Minister of Interior Moshe Arbel for visiting us and giving his support at this crucial time, and for his willingness to move forward with a regional center that will provide significant solutions for rehabilitation patients in the western Negev and Gaza Envelope area after the war.”
