REFAEL MAKES THE CUT

When our ADI residents create beautiful seasonal and inspirational mugs for the ‘Ability Boutique,’ everyone contributes at his or her own level of ability. Refael, a longtime resident of ADI Jerusalem, has one of the most important jobs of all.

To make sure that the decals and designs stay on the mugs when they are inserted into the heating press, Refael cuts pieces of a special tape with an ingenious adapted scissor system created by ADI’s special educators.

By pulling down on the lever (a movement he has mastered), Refael cuts the pieces of tape exactly the right size every single time. Working on projects for the ‘Ability Boutique’ gives Refael a sense of accomplishment, and he loves knowing that his creations will brighten someone’s day.

You too can brighten someone’s day – Shop The Ability Boutique Now!
