This visit was as sweet as a Georgia peach! On Tuesday, March 28, ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran had the great honor of welcoming Commissioner Pat Wilson and his team from the Georgia Department of Economic Development to the village for a grand tour and discussion about how we are making the Negev bloom in every possible way. Commissioner Wilson explained that after hearing about ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran from Consul General of Israel to the Southeastern United States Anat Sultan-Dadon, he and his staff just had to come see it for themselves.

Led through the expansive rehabilitation village by ADI’s North American Director of Development Elie Klein, the group was blown away by our state-of-the-art rehabilitative technology, integrated kindergarten, hydrotherapy pool, special education school, accessible amphitheater, Safari Petting Zoo, Green Care Farm and the Harvey and Gloria Kaylie Rehabilitation Medical Center – the first-ever rehabilitation hospital in Israel’s south. Still, it was the specialized care and personal attention received by each and every resident, special education student and rehabilitation patient that truly stole their hearts.

Commissioner Wilson and his staff were wowed by our success in taking employment in the Negev to the next level, our plans for creating more housing via Israel’s first fully inclusive and accessible town, and our storied partnerships with the government of Israel, JNF-USA and partners around the world that have allowed us to achieve this unprecedented social and economic growth via disability empowerment and inclusion.

We welcome the great State of Georgia to the ADI family and look forward to future visits and projects together!
