The Orthopedic Ward of the Kaylie Rehabilitation Medical Center at ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran was the second of three planned wards to begin accepting rehabilitation patients, opening its doors on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.

The opening of the new 36-bed ward significantly increases the number of hospital beds available to residents of southern Israel requiring in-patient rehabilitation. The third ward, Geriatric Rehabilitation, is set to open by the end of the year, raising the total number of hospital beds to 108, further improving rehabilitative medical services to Negev area residents.

The new Orthopedic Ward joins the Neuro-Rehabilitation Ward recently opened last June, as well as the departments of physiotherapy, occupational therapy and communication therapy, the rehabilitative sports complex and the Lillian and David E. Feldman Research Center, operated in conjunction with Ben Gurion University of the Negev.

Upon the opening of the new ward, Dr. Yitzhak (Zaki) Siev Nir, director of the Kaylie Rehabilitative Medical Center commented that, โ€œwe have come one step closer to realizing our dream of a rehabilitative medical center in southern Israel. The opening of the new Orthopedic Ward is a blessing for the residents of the Negev. Patients will receive dedicated treatment by a team of professionals. We hope that the geriatric department will open by the end of the year, increasing rehabilitative services to the entire Negev community.โ€

The Kaylie Rehabilitative Medical Center is the only hospital in the Negev that incorporates neurology, orthopedics and geriatric medicine in one comprehensive rehabilitative center, providing patients with state-of-the-art rehabilitative care by a team of dedicated professionals.
