Over 40 guests attended ADIโs Empower Your Health morning and lunch to mark the 2019 International Day of Persons with Disabilities and to support the severely disabled children of ADI in Israel.
Nutritional therapist, Orley Kutner, provided tips for healthy eating and well-being and shared her delicious and healthy recipes, which participants later enjoyed over lunch. Liron Rosiner-Reshef, the Director of the British Friends of ADI, presented the revolutionary work of ADI which transforms the lives of over 750 of the most vulnerable children in Israel through its empowering approach to look for the childrenโs abilities within their disabilities. Liron mentioned that without the support of ADI, most of these children would be forced to spend their lives in a hospital bed.
ADI allows them to reach their fullest potential, and against all odds to reach milestones well beyond their initial prognosis. ADI also leads the charge for acceptance and inclusion of people with disabilities through its โTikkun Olamโ programmes around the world. The event was a great success with over ยฃ4,000 raised towards ADIโs new and improved Nutrition & Healthy Eating Programme.
Guests said how impressed and touched they were by the warmth and professional services provided by ADI at its four residential centres around Israel, and how much they enjoyed the morning. The event was generously hosted at the home of Mrs Tracy Jacob.
