ADI AWARDED PERLMAN-GENESIS PRIZE

On April 2, the Prime Minister’s office hosted the award ceremony for the Perlman-Genesis prize, and ADI was among the recipients of this special grant!  Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Maestro Itzhak Perlman, Jewish Agency Chairman Natan Sharansky, Director General of ADI Negev Avi Wortzman, and several other organization heads and dignitaries were in attendance.

Last June, world-renowned Israeli-American violinist and disability advocate Itzhak Perlman was awarded the 2016 Genesis Prize.  Following the award ceremony, Mr. Perlman announced that he wished to allocate his cash prize to programs that would empower children with disabilities and expose children of all abilities to the arts.  ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran was awarded grants for the next two years – funding that will be used to take ADI residents to museums, musical performances and other cultural events.

The Perlman-Genesis grant is awarded to organizations in Israel and the United States. In Israel, the prize is administered by Matan.  We are so grateful to all involved for honoring us with this grant.

We need your support!

By donating to ADI Israel, YOU will help us meet our goal to enable each child, regardless of the severity of disability.
