ADI: A Light Unto the Nations

Indian Delegation of Leaders of Associations for Helping Endangered Children and Youth Visit ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran

ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran was honored to host a preliminary delegation from India consisting of leaders from various associations aiding endangered children and youth.ย  The visit, the first of its kind, was initiated by the Israeli Foreign Officeโ€™s Department for India and Southeast Asia.

During their trip, members of the group were exposed to Israelโ€™s widespread activity in this realm.ย  They visited various Israeli associations benefitting children and youth, in the hopes of establishing ongoing cooperation and replicating successful Israeli work methods in India.

ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran presented its unique and groundbreaking โ€œintegrative community centerโ€ method to the delegation. At ADI Negev, people with severe intellectual and physical disabilities are integrated into daily community rehabilitative, educational, volunteer, cultural and recreational activities. The ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran model breaks down barriers and overcomes stereotypes. For this reason, many people from all over the world come to see and learn, hoping to establish similar models in their respective communities.

ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran is a moral and cultural beacon in the field of inclusion and acceptance of those who are different in society. The village will continue hosting professional delegations from around the world, presenting the ideal of inclusion and social responsibility towards those who are unable to fend for themselves.
