👩‍🍳🍫“CHEF SHULI” STANDS WITH ISRAEL 👩‍🍳🍫“CHEF SHULI” STANDS WITH ISRAEL & ADI! 🇮🇱♿  In November 2021, after learning about ADI for the very first time, Shuli Friedman from Baltimore, Maryland, was inspired to launch a super sweet Bat Mitzvah project: empowering our ADI residents with severe disabilities by selling decadently delicious hot cocoa bombs. With the assistance of her amazing parents, Becca and Josh, “Chef Shuli” reached out to family, friends and neighbors, all of whom immediately expressed interest in the warm and wonderful winter treats, and helping our ADI residents advance beyond their initial prognoses and live happy, dignified, and meaningful lives. After visiting ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran with her family and seeing the 'ADI Magic'✨ firsthand in 2022, Chef Shuli was eager to make the culinary campaign an annual affair, lovingly prepared ahead of Chanukah. This year's assortment of hot cocoa bombs are bedecked with blue and white to show scrumptious solidarity with Israel. The whole stock was sold out in just 7 hours(!), 🤯 and the impact was immediate! 🙌🏻 Thanks to Chef Shuli, we will be able to continue providing our ADI residents with the educational, vocational and therapeutic programming they need to stay happy, healthy and whole during these difficult times. THANK YOU for your delicious dedication to your ADI family, Chef Shuli! 🙏🏻💚

💪🏻🇮🇱🩼HEROES HEALING HEROES: At ADI 💪🏻🇮🇱🩼HEROES HEALING HEROES: At ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran, our heroic rehabilitative specialists have the honor of caring for many courageous survivors of the October 7 attacks and nursing them back to physical and emotional wellness. Chief among them is Rabbi Shahar Butzhak, spiritual leader of the religious community in Ofakim. On October 7, after receiving word from the IDF's Southern Command that droves of Hamas terrorists had invaded Ofakim, Rabbi Butzhak grabbed his gun and headed towards them in hopes of safeguarding his community. On the way, he met up with two other armed neighbors. A sudden barrage of gunfire enveloped them, and they returned fire, neutralizing several terrorists.
As they closed in on the terrorists, an IDF soldier sprinted towards them. In an instant, it became clear that the figure was actually a terrorist dressed as a soldier, but it was too late - the terrorist shot first and wounded Rabbi Butzhak in the leg. As the firefight raged on, Rabbi Butzhak found his way to a bomb shelter and continued shooting. He simultaneously sent a message to the community's WhatsApp group, urging other armed civilians to join the fight.
A police officer found Rabbi Butzhak and dragged him to a nearby house, where he began losing a lot of blood. After bleeding out for more than 90 minutes, Rabbi Butzhak was discovered by first responders, who stopped the bleeding and rushed him to Soroka Hospital.
Two weeks later, Rabbi Butzhak was transferred to the Kaylie Rehabilitation Medical Center at ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran, where he is receiving intensive physical therapy and emotional support. A true warrior, Rabbi Butzhak is healing quickly and has already begun walking again. He is so grateful to ADI's specialists for helping him fast track his rehabilitation that he has been returning the favor by telling his story to everyone, buoying their spirits and strengthening their resolve. By empowering each other, we will bring the light during these dark times. With love and humanity, we shall overcome!

❤️🇮🇱 The ADI family and the entire State ❤️🇮🇱 The ADI family and the entire State of Israel are elated and relieved to see Chen Goldstein-Almog (48) and three of her four children, Agam (17), Gal (11) and Tal (8), family members of Major General (Res.) Doron Almog, Founder & Chairman of ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran and Chairman of the Executive of the Jewish Agency for Israel, return home to Israel from Hamas captivity.
On October 7, Chen's husband, Nadav Goldstein-Almog, and their eldest daughter, Yam, were killed in the safe room of their home. The family’s two sets of grandparents, the Almogs and the Goldsteins, both live on Kfar Aza, but were abroad on a kibbutz roots trip. They and the extended family buried Nadav and Yam on October 23, Chen's birthday.
When the war began, Doron and his family received word that all six members of the Goldstein-Almog family had been murdered. Days later, updated information revealed that four of the family members were alive but being held captive in Gaza. Today, they returned home.
We pray for the immediate return of the remaining Israeli hostages being held by Hamas in Gaza and for the safety, security and strength of the IDF. AM YISRAEL CHAI! 💪🏻🇮🇱

🙌🏻🇮🇱 AT THE INTERSECTION OF GRIEF AND 🙌🏻🇮🇱 AT THE INTERSECTION OF GRIEF AND JOY: On October 7, the intersection of Route 241 right outside the gates of ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran saw sadistic violence and abundant agony. Forty-nine days later, on November 26, it is the scene of effusive joy and celebration, as 14 Israeli hostages pass through the intersection on their way home to their families. May we continue along this road to a swift and lasting resolution to this horrific episode! AM YISRAEL CHAI! 💪🏻🇮🇱
