On Monday, November 22, the London committee of the British Friends of ADI Israel hosted a special pre-Chanukah brunch in London to mark ‘International of Persons with Disabilities Day’ and support the enhancement of the Respiratory Therapy Program at ADI.

The morning featured an in-conversation with social media executive and celebrated author Michal Oshman, who shared insights from her book, What Would You Do If You Weren’t Afraid. All in attendance were fascinated by Michal’s journey to overcome fear and anxiety and inspired by her personal growth methodology based on Jewish wisdom.

Liron Rosiner-Reshef, Director of British Friends of ADI Israel, also addressed the crowd, discussing ADI’s mission to find the ability within every disability, provide advanced rehabilitative care for all across Israel, and promote true disability inclusion around the world.

“The event was a stunning success, because we not only raised much needed funds but highlighted the warmth and professional services provided at ADI Jerusalem and ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran, information that moved each and every one of our brunch guests,” explained Rosiner-Reshef.

“The timing of our brunch was also perfect, as we hope to use the funds raised to bolster ADI’s Respiratory Therapy Program ahead of the cold winter months, helping the dedicated staff and volunteers ward off Covid-19 infection and the need for hospitalisation, which can be very dangerous for the immunocompromised ADI residents.”

We are grateful for the ongoing support of ADI’s mission to empower hundreds of Israel’s most vulnerable citizens – children, adolescents and adults with severe disabilities – to advance well beyond their initial prognoses and live happy, dignified, and meaningful lives.

We need your support!

By donating to ADI Israel, YOU will help us meet our goal to enable each child, regardless of the severity of disability.
