On Sunday evening, July 1, the newly-formed Young Leadership Committee of the British Friends of ALEH hosted its first-ever event to benefit the children of ALEH: a quiz night at the Adam & Eve Pub in London. The incredibly successful fundraiser was oversubscribed, with 80 young professionals in attendance to participate in the fun and creative team trivia competition and learn about ALEHโs expansive network of residential and rehabilitative care facilities for children with severe complex disabilities across Israel. The atmosphere was light and relaxed, and many participants commented that the evening was the most enjoyable charity event they had ever attended.
In the end, thanks to the enthusiasm, dedication and vision of ALEHโs brilliant Young Leadership Committee, the event raised ยฃ1,900 to provide medical equipment for the ALEH residents, a persistent urgent need. We are so grateful to these young leadership superstars for developing and hosting such a meaningful event, introducing new audiences to the ALEH mission, and helping us promote disability inclusion and further enhance the care of our ALEH residents. We canโt wait to see what they think of next!
