Yom Ha’atzmaut, Israel’s independence day, is celebrated joyously throughout the country, including at ADI. The facilities had a variety of activities to mark the day, including dressing up in blue and white and marching with flags to mark Israel’s 69th birthday, singing favorite Israeli songs, dancing with live music, making or coloring Israeli flags that were then hung at the entrance to each floor of the center, and eating falafel – the quintessential Israeli food. Many thanks go out to our wonderful volunteers and National Service girls, who provided invaluable assistance with the events, filling ADI’s centers with joy and bringing huge smiles to our children’s faces.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ISRAEL!!
