Update: With the continuing barrage of rockets and mortar shells from Gaza, we wanted to update you on the situation at ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran, which is in the direct line of fire.
As soon as the air raid siren sounds, residents are moved quickly and efficiently into sheltered rooms, together with any necessary medical equipment. The main rehabilitation facilities, schools, kindergartens, vocational centers and each residential home are all equipped with sheltered, protected rooms.
Staff and volunteers have undergone special training, preparing for any contingency during the ongoing crisis, and caregivers do their best to project an air of calm reassurance. Their primary goal is to ensure the physical safety and emotional well-being of every resident.
Daily activities are continuing as scheduled in order to maintain the familiar routines so important to residents.
