ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran CEO Avi Wortzman, head of the Merhavim Regional Council Shai Hajaj and Deputy Director of Regulation David Shaulov sat down with Minister of Tourism Chaim Katz for a productive work meeting in which the Minister was presented with plans for the future development of the rehabilitation village and the establishment tourist attractions including a unique Visitors Center and vacation site with accessible guest accommodations.
Upon conclusion of the productive meeting, Avi Wortzman commented that, “We were very pleased to meet with the Minister and present our plans for the future development of the village, including expansion of the Kaylie Rehabilitation Medical Center, establishment of the accessible village Daniel and the development of regional tourism. These plans will transform the village into a city of integration, rehabilitation and inclusion unlike any other place in Israel or the world. We are grateful to the Minister and his staff for their cooperation and support of this important initiative.”
Shai Hajaj, head of the Merhavim Regional Council, further commented that, “the ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran rehabilitation village hosts tens of thousands of visitors each year and is considered one of the most visited sites in the region. We view with importance the establishment of a structured Visitors Center, a project which will contribute greatly to the entire region and, most importantly, teach empathy and chesed.”
