The Color of Caring

Employees of Nirlat Paintโ€™s logistics center, located in Kibbutz Nir Oz, spent their free time this summer working on two special projects at ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran.

Project Number One entailed painting the newly renovated Keshet House, home to 24 wonderfully special residents. Nirlat employees picked light, bright colors to impart feelings of calm and tranquility. Residence staff, volunteer coordinator Hili, and Nirlat volunteers worked together to ensure that residentsโ€™ needs were met in the best possible manner.

Nirlat directors and staff were full of enthusiasm and good will to complete their task on time. Numerous employees arrived at the village after a full nightshift of work in order to complete their task during morning hours as residents were busy with daily activity at the village rehabilitative workshop or in therapy sessions.

After completing the Keshet House project, Nrlat volunteers moved on to Project Number Two: painting the rehabilitative daycare center. The shining faces and sparkling eyes of children returning to daycare after summer vacation transmitted their unspoken words of happiness upon seeing their newly painted surroundings.

Our heartfelt thanks to Nirlat personnel who paused from the ongoing race of life to volunteer their time to those who are completely dependent on the good will of others, accentuating the ideals of a humane and caring society.

Thank you for the initiative, the care, the understanding and the desire to color the lives of residents and children of ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran with love and kindness.
