Feelings of contentment and serenity pervade our extraordinary centers all year long, however during the holiday of Sukkot, ADI Jerusalem and ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran experience a special aura of joy as befitting the Holiday of Our Happiness.

Prior to the holiday, residents were busy creating handmade decorations to embellish the Sukkahs of both centers as they learned about the holiday’s unique requirements and mitzvahs and were taught how to hold and shake the lulav and esrog.

Throughout the week of Sukkot, everyone was kept busy with special activities and programs, while both residents and staff eagerly looked forward to the Simchat Beit HaShoeva celebrations of music and dancing, enriched by the endless vitality and vivacity of countless volunteers and visitors.

Simchat Torah, the culmination of the week-long holiday, provided yet another opportunity for celebration, as residents, staff and volunteers observed the end and new beginning of the Torah with even more singing and dancing.

While the holiday may have come to a close, the happiness and smiles of residents linger on as they return to their daily schedules of growth-oriented activity, surrounded by the love and care of their dedicated teachers, caregivers, therapists, volunteers and friends.
