Staunch Israel supporters in the Netherlands gathered for the Second Annual “Tour de ADI,” a sportive fundraising day organized by ADI and the Dutch chapter of Christians for Israel for the benefit of ADI’s children and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical conditions.

Starting off at the Israel Products Center (IPC), which, in addition to housing a beautiful store selling quality Israeli products, functions as Christians for Israel’s Dutch chapter offices, 51 bikers set out to peddle their way through the Dutch countryside, raising over € 6,500 to purchase special adaptive seating systems for ADI Jerusalem residents.

Rest stop number one was in a beautiful Netherlands forest area where bikers were treated to coffee, tea, cake and some inspiring Chassidic stories. From there, the group pedaled away for another hour to reach McLevi’s and enjoy some tasty Israeli falafel. Turning around for the return trip, riders kept at it for another hour before one more countryside rest, finally continuing on for the last leg of the journey and a return to the IPC. Following some short speeches and words of appreciation, participants were pleased to receive a special gift from the ADI Boutique, hand-crafted by ADI residents.

Yochanan Zomer, ADI Director of Marketing and Development, Europe and Asia, escorted the 45 km. outing, ensuring the day proceeded as planned and enabling bikers to enjoy a fun and purposeful day of riding and fellowship.
