Salomé van Oordt, a 23-year-old nurse from Amsterdam, took second place in the women’s division of the 2022 Dead Sea Marathon, on Friday, February 4, raising € 23,000 in support of the children and residents of ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran and ADI Jerusalem.

Salomé came to Israel as part of the Netherland-based youth movement, Isreality, a strong supporter of Israel, to run in her first-ever marathon. Sporting an “ADI Fleet” T-shirt and cheered on by numerous supports, including ADI’s European Director of Development Shraga Evers, Salomé outran thousands of participants to take the silver medal and raise funds that will be used to purchase much needed rehabilitative equipment.

Well done, Salomé! Keep going strong!
