On March, 16, 2016, the CanADIan Friends of ADI hosted a beautiful evening with Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks. The sold-out event featured presentations by the Chairs of the CanADIan Friends of ADI; Shlomit Grayevsky, Director of ADI Jerusalem; and Rabbi Sacks, who eloquently tackled “Confronting Religious Violence” in a way that only he can.
Rabbi Sack’s moving words about ADI resonated with everyone present: ” โIt has been our mission to teach the world the deeply paradoxical but profound truths โ [that] if you want to judge the strength of a nation โ see how it cares for the weak. If you want to judge the wealth of a nation, see how it cares for the poor. If you want a nation to be truly invulnerable โ see how it cares for the vulnerable. If onlyโฆ what I would love to do is show the world the work of ADI โฆ.”
