Outstanding Employees, Volunteers and Programs Recognized at ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran

Numerous dedicated employees and over one hundred devoted volunteers join together to advance and empower students, residents and outpatients of ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran throughout the year in variety of innovative, state-of-the-art programs and curriculums.

Difficult as it may be to choose outstanding personnel or pick the best programs, ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran administration sat together, defined criteria and composed a list.

At a special ceremony for the entire ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran family, ten employees were recognized by administration and fellow staff for their dedication and devotion, above and beyond the call of duty throughout the course of the year.

For the second year in a row, stipends were awarded to ten inspirational volunteers, cited for their consistency and commitment to ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran and the villageโ€™s ideals of inclusion and equality. Volunteer stipends are provided by the Ozen Family of Moshav Gilat in memory of Shlomo Ozen, zโ€l, who fell in battle during the 1970 bombings of the Suez Cannal in the War of Attrition. In an inspiring speech, Shlomoโ€™s neice Mor, who never knew her uncle, mentioned her uncleโ€™s volunteerism and many activities for the weak. Providing stipends for volunteers, said Mor, is a wonderful way to commemorate Shlomoโ€™s memory and is an acknowledgement of the unending dedication on the part of village volunteers.

Finally, from among the villageโ€™s many programs, two programs received special recognition:

ADI in the Community: An innovative program benefitting surrounding communities in which children with disabilities from neighboring towns and cities are integrated and included in village activities.

Updated Computerized Systems for the Hydrotherapy Program: Incorporation and integration of new technologies into the hydrotherapy poolโ€™s computerized information system to improve and upgrade hydrotherapy treatments for village residents and patients in the villageโ€™s Outpatient Rehabilitation service.

Though specific employees, volunteers and programs were mentioned at the ceremony, there exists an implicit understanding that every individual involved in the remarkable work at ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran contributes to the progress and advancement of every one of the villageโ€™s students, residents and outpatients.
