To celebrate his upcoming Bar Mitzvah, David Kalmus Souss of Sรฃo Paulo, Brazil twinned with Shimon, a boy from ADI Jerusalem with complex disabilities who is also preparing for his Bar Mitzvah. After receiving pictures of Shimon, David decided to raise $2,500 to help pay for Shimonโs specialized care and ensure that Shimon receives a fitting Bar Mitzvah celebration. To kick things off, David donated the first $450 from his own money, and his friends and family quickly helped him achieve his goal โ he raised the full $2,500 in less than one month! Below is a video that David sent to Shimon. Shimon was smiling and clapping when he watched the video on his specialized iPad.
