Integrative Theater Comes to High School

In a first for both actors and audience, Beit HaYotzer performers appeared before a group of ninth-grade students at the Darcha Begin High School in Gedera.

In their premier performance outside of the vocational center, the unique acting group provided mainstream students with their first exposure to integrative theater and actors with special needs.

The play which included dance, song and personal stories, saw the ninth-graders connect with Yamit, a non-verbal actor, who communicated with the students through guttural sounds and eye expression.

Artistic director Mor Lidor worked in close cooperation with Beit HaYotzer director Roโ€™I Rappaport to bring the two groups together for the meaningful encounter which made a strong impression on all participants.
