Greater Miami Jewish Federation: Partners in Protection and Potential

When the Greater Miami Jewish Federation heard that ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran, our residential and rehabilitative village in Israel’s south, was in dire need of personal protective equipment (PPE), they jumped into action to make sure that we had the supplies we needed to continue to shield our immunocompromised ADI residents with severe disabilities from COVID-19.  In addition to a generous grant that has allowed us to purchase the protective gear utilized constantly by our professional staff and volunteers to maintain our sterile environment and keep our ADI residents safe – including masks, gloves, robes, shoe covers, and sanitization gel – they also provided 200 brand new face shields that were delivered straight to our door!

Yesterday, Ofer Lichtig, the Israel Representative of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, handed off the beautiful new face shields to Elie Klein, ADI’s Director of Development for the US and Canada, at ADI Negev.  Today, the face shields are already in use by our doctors, nurses, therapists, volunteers and security guards in every corner of the village.

We are so grateful to the Greater Miami Jewish Federation for their partnership and support during this life-saving mission.  Thank you for stepping up when we needed you most!  Thank you for showing us “the strength of a people” and “the power of a community.”

We look forward to welcoming the Greater Miami Jewish Federation family to ADI Negev – a place where we find the ability in every disability and help every child reach their greatest potentials – for a grand tour as soon as it becomes feasible.

We need your support!

By donating to ADI Israel, YOU will help us meet our goal to enable each child, regardless of the severity of disability.
