Throughout the world, students of all ages are celebrating graduation, and ADI’s special education students are no different. From kindergarten to college, ADI empowers children, youth and young adults with intellectual and development disabilities to move forward and realize their highest potentials.
Kindergarten graduation at ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran’s early intervention kindergarten was a fun-filled party for kids and a joyful day for parents who witnessed the youngsters’ development, progress and growth over the course of the year thanks to the dedication and hard work of ADI’s devoted teachers and teaching assistants.
Meanwhile, as ADI’s youngest students celebrated their first educational achievement, ADI’s oldest students were proudly receiving certificates of accomplishment for successfully completing a college level course at Bar Ilan University.
The unique course on interpersonal communication enabled employees of the ADI Ofakim Beit HaYotzer rehabilitation vocational center to learn about the importance of interpersonal communication in their lives, the way in which they present themselves to others, and how to communicate with their surroundings and tell their life story.
The opportunity to take part in an academic course and be part of a university significantly impacted participants, filling them with meaning and uplifting confidence in their own abilities. “The course awakened in me a desire to enroll in more university courses and expand my knowledge,” said another participant.
Congratulations to all our graduates. May you see continue to focus on your abilities and see success in all your efforts.
