Earlier this week, a special ceremony marked the end of the school year at the newly expanded special education school at ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran. This is the first year that the school has operated with its new wing, which enabled the absorption of a considerable number of new students.
The celebration took place at the community center in the neighboring town of Ofakim, with the participation of students and their families. The students and school staff put on a moving performance that included songs, dances, impressive sets and films.
The ceremony focused on the 50th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem, and included many elements that are identified with the city. The excited children and the devoted staff presented an array of characters, told stories of Jerusalem, and โ most importantly โ loved being on stage!
In addition to celebrating the end of the year, we are parting from Dorit, who was the school principal for the past seven years. We thank her for her devotion, love and all she did for the students. She has left her mark on the staff, the village, the students and their families, and we will all miss her very much. We wish Dorit the best of luck as she continues on to new challenges.
