Eitan’s Strength

alt=""

Five years ago, Eitan Ashman, a tenacious and talented Israeli EMT, suffered a stroke that would change the course of his life and impact his family dramatically. Eitan, who now battles the language processing disorder Aphasia, and his devoted and passionate wife, Leora, started an organization called “Koach Eitan” (literally “Eitan’s Strength”) to promote stroke prevention and awareness about living with Aphasia.

Last week, after Eitan and Leora received a full tour of the expansive rehabilitation village from Elie Klein, ADI’s North American Director of Development, Eitan did his best to express how he was feeling. A recipient of long-term inpatient rehabilitation, he was especially moved by the pristine and state-of-the-art facilities at the Harvey and Gloria Kaylie Rehabilitation Medical Center at ADI Negev.
