British Pub Quiz Night Comes to Netanya in Support of ADI Jerusalem

Pub Quiz פאב קוויז

Murphy’s Pub in Netanya resembled a regular British pub last week, as close friends Julia Boxer and Tracy Kaye hosted a group of Anglo-Israelis for an all-out British Pub Quiz Night to benefit the children of ADI Jerusalem and their summer program schedule.

The original idea for a regular fun night out with friends quickly morphed in to a full-fledged fundraising event, as planners Julia and Tracy recalled the uplifting experience of a few years back when participating in an event in support of ADI Jerusalem.  Julia and Tracy had no doubt that their friends and acquaintances would feel a similar sense of satisfaction in standing by and supporting the children of ADI.

The Pub Quiz – a group trivia night held in a pub or other location – is a full-fledged British tradition that has recently taken hold outside of the UK as a party or fundraising event.

Once word spread about the upcoming evening, it was not long before the event was sold out. Over 140 Anglos from Netanya, Raanana, Jerusalem, Modiin, Zichron Yaacov, and Tel Aviv came to fight for the chance to be called British Pub Quiz Champion and learn more about ADI.

In addition to the scheduled fun and entertainment, Julia and Tracy surprised the crowd with an exciting raffle, offering wonderful prizes and gifts donated by shops and vendors in support of ADI Jerusalem.

In total, Julia and Tracy procured over ILS 10,300 in support of the children of ADI and raised awareness of the educational and rehabilitative activity carried out by the dedicated staff and volunteers at ADI Jerusalem, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days each year.
