Following months of extreme isolation, during which our dedicated volunteers stayed secluded with residents in specific ADI center and homes to prevent spread and infection of COVID-19, it was once again possible to get together and step out for a refreshing trip to the outskirts of Jerusalem.
Choosing the outskirts of Jerusalem as the location for the renewed outing, our international volunteers first visited the Herodium National Park, where they enjoyed an informative tour of the historical area, as well as the stunning view over Tekoa, Gush Etzion and Jerusalem.
After partaking of a picnic lunch at the Givat Oz Nature Preserve during which NADIa Matar, a preserve founder, shared the story of the Gush and the Preserve, the group moved on to Petel BโHar, where they picked cherries, raspberries and mulberries for dessert.
It was indeed a great reunion for ADIโs wonderfully dedicated international volunteers after having been separated for so long.
