Globes, Israel’s foremost Hebrew-language financial newspaper, cited Avi Wortzman, CEO of ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran, as one of Israel’s 50 most influential CEOs of 2022.
Born and raised in the city of Beersheba, Avi Wortzman has devoted his considerable talents to improving the Negev educational, communal and welfare systems. From founder of Beit Moriah Garin Torani in 1993, Avi went on to serve as Director General of Jewish Education at Mibereshit and was one of the founders of Masa Israel. In 2002, Avi won the Prime Minister’s “Magen Le’Yeled” Award for his work in establishing a network of community centers for children at risk, following which he became Deputy Mayor of Beersheba in 2008.
From 2013-2015 Avi served as a Member of Knesset and Deputy Ministry of Education.
Avi Wortzman has served as CEO of ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran since 2016, working diligently to provide a quality home and comprehensive educational, rehabilitative and social services for hundreds of individuals with severe disabilities throughout the Negev and across the country.
Avi’s latest accomplishment is working with the Israeli government, JNF-USA and international donors to open the Harvey and Gloria Kaylie Rehabilitation Medical Center at ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran, the first-ever rehabilitation hospital in Israel’s south, a development that will bring quality health services and economic stability to the region.
