Individual Technology Accessibility Course at ADI Bnei Brak

ADI Bnei Brak special education teachers recently participated in a special workshop that instructed them on adapted iPad usage for students. Popular apps, which can be used to enhance communication ability, learning, and cultural and recreational enjoyment, were demonstrated and their various functions were explained.

The teachers tried the various applications, learned how to upload information into communication apps and how to build personal communication boards for each child.

Additionally, accessibility definitions for iPads were explained and implemented.  Under the direction of the instructor, the teachers experimented with changing parameters in order to create the accessibility functions that will make the iPads suitable to each student’s abilities.

The participating teachers were highly motivated to learn about advancements in this ever-expanding field, and they were excited to begin applying the new information they had learned within their classrooms and in their work with each child individually.
