ADI Jerusalem Receives “Point of Light” Award for Excellence

Way to go, ADI Jerusalem!

Every year, the Ministry of Welfare’s Israeli Disabilities Administration presents the “Points of Light” award to organizations and outstanding programs that are responsible for improving the quality of life for people with disabilities in Israel.

Administrators of ADI’s residential facility in Jerusalem were invited to a special ceremony on the eighth day of Chanukah to receive the award for outstanding rehabilitation and care center for individuals with disabilities. This award pays tribute to the crucial role ADI plays in promoting disability inclusion throughout the Jerusalem community and beyond. In particular, the letter of award praises ADI’s “world view in which the child remains an integral part of the family, and even more – ADI is an example of a community-integrated residence . . .”

Shlomit Grayevsky, director of ADI Jerusalem, accepted the award on behalf of her exceptional professional staff and incredible, dedicated volunteers in a ceremony hosted by Avidgor Kaplan, Director General of the Ministry of Welfare and attended by Gideon Shalom, Deputy Director General, award committee members and directors from all over the country.

Here’s to our continued success for the sake of Israel’s disability community!
