ADI JERUSALEM LADIES COMMITTEE CELEBRATES ITS 25TH GALA EVENT

Hundreds of people came out to salute and support ADI in Jerusalem last week at the ADI LADIes Committee 25th gala event, and to honor the memory of Rivka Chervin-Weinberger, founder of the LADIes Committee, who supported ADI for some 30 years. ADI Jerusalem, under the leadership of Director General Shlomit Grayevsky, provides residential, educational and therapeutic services to people with intellectual developmental disabilities, enabling them to enjoy the best quality of life possible. Residents participate in a wide variety of activities in the city, including attending performances and plays, and they even go to summer camp.

The eveningโ€™s entertainment was provided by master illusionist Nimrod Harel, who astounded everyone with his โ€œmagic.โ€ Speakers at the evening included Rabbi Yehuda Marmorstein, Director General of ADI, who thanked all attendees for their support of ADI, and Shirat Malach, mother of one of ADI Jerusalemโ€™s residents, who spoke of her familyโ€™s life and ADIโ€™s role in it.

Proceeds from the evening will be earmarked for developing a family room in ADI Jerusalemโ€™s new wing. The room will function as both a training facility, containing a fully equipped kitchen and other household appliances specially adapted for people with disabilities, and as a comfortable venue in which residents can relax and enjoy activities with visiting family members.

ADI extends its heartfelt gratitude to the members of the LADIes Committee, who have worked tirelessly for ADIโ€™s benefit, producing 25 wonderful gala events. Together we continue to create miracles.

We need your support!
