ADI Jerusalem Celebrates Accessible Hebrew Book Month

Compulsory restrictions on public gathering due to COVID-19 forced Israel’s annual Hebrew Book Month to move from an outdoor celebration to on-line activity, but that didn’t stop ADI Jerusalem from proudly announcing the latest additions to the center’s unique Tactile Library.

Thanks to the generosity of committed donors, ADI Jerusalem’s Tactile Library has recently grown to include another 40 titles.  The Tactile Library’s expansion is especially welcome at this time, as the Coronavirus pandemic and our strict enforcement of sterility and social distancing force our immunocompromised students and residents to stay indoors.

ADI’s hands-on Tactile Library enables students with severe intellectual and motor disabilities to experience the joy of reADIng by bringing stories to life using visual and sensory objects relating to the story that serve as comprehension aids, allowing children to enjoy the magic of books and adding a new dimension to their education and quality of life.

We need your support!

By donating to ADI Israel, YOU will help us meet our goal to enable each child, regardless of the severity of disability.
