In what was billed in the United States as a “can’t miss event” for medical professionals considering immigration to Israel, Nefesh B’Nefesh hosted representatives of all major Israeli hospitals and HMOs at a two-day conference in Teaneck, New Jersey.

ADI was amply represented at the conference, outlining employment opportunities for individuals qualified in medical and medically-related fields in ADI centers in Jerusalem and the Negev.

Dr. Itzhak Siev-Ner, director of the new Rehabilitation Hospital and Dr. Shilo Kramer, head of rehabilitative hospitalization at ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran, represented the Negev village at the conference, while ADI Jerusalem was represented by Rehabilitation Day Center director and Physiotherapy Coordinator Louisa Zusman.

Israeli government officials present at the conference indicated visible support for ADI Jerusalem and ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran and encouragement for prospective new immigrants. Oded Forer, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and Minister for the Development of the Periphery, the Negev and the Galilee, Ilan Schochet, director of the Office for the Development of the Periphery, the Negev and the Galilee, and Idit Silman, MK, Coalition Chair and Knesset Health Committee Chair were among those who visited the ADI tables in a show of praise for ADI’s unique educational and rehabilitative work and the gratifying employment opportunities available at each ADI center.
