Music could be heard in the streets surrounding ADI Jerusalem, as the rehabilitation center celebrated the Bar Mitzvah of three young residents.
The outdoor event, held on the rooftop patio at ADI Jerusalem, included family, friends, and guests, all of whom came together to celebrate and mark this important milestone.
The joint Bar Mitzvah celebration was especially notable thanks to the thoughtfulness of some generous donors. Guests entered the patio via an impressive balloon gate. Once outside, they encountered a sumptuous food bar, more balloon decorations, a striking henna table and a magnet corner with on-the-spot pictures taken by a magnet photographer.
Families and friends from as far as Tiveria and Yokneโam came to take part in the celebration, joining ADI staff and volunteers from Yeshivat Shaโarei Mevaseret Zion in dancing and singing to the music of a live band. An especially poignant moment saw the Bar Mitzvah boys wrapped in tallises (prayer shawls) as the crowd sang a meaningful rendition of โHaMalach HaGoโel.โ
The joyous celebration was the culmination of a year of study and preparation, during which the boys learned about tefillin, the siddur (the Jewish prayer book) and various customs and took a special trip to the Western Wall.
