Modern educational theories may claim “a computer for every child,” but Savta (Grandmother) Michelle knows what every child really needs – a warm, loveable teddy bear to hug and cuddle.
From her location in Northern Israel, Savta Michelle contacted ADI via Facebook with a kind-hearted offer to personally knit teddy bears for the children of ADI, wishing to provide them with a homemade style of warmth and comfort.
After knitting a number of teddies, Savta Michelle felt so connected to ADI that she decided to convey the wares personally instead of sending them through the mail. Together with her own grandchildren, Savta Michelle made a special trip to ADI Bnei Brak to hand deliver her colorful, comforting labor of love.
The teddy bears were warmly received by ADI children and staff, all of whom were thrilled to meet the dedicated Savta Michelle and her grandchildren.
