ADI Jerusalem’s Tactile Sensory Library re-opened its doors following renovation of the premises and upgrading of reading material and equipment for the benefit of ADI residents and students.
ADI librarian Tami Gutman invested much thought, time and creativity in perfecting the new room, ensuring it meets the unique needs of ADI children and augments the pleasure of the reading. Library books are complemented by tactile stimulation kits that enhance comprehension and improve the child’s ability to concentrate, turning story time into a multi-dimensional therapeutic experience.
The new library will also serve as a family room and work space for individual and small-group sessions as well as a cozy corner for quiet-time activity.
