For the Landsmanas Goldberg family from Mexico City, Mexico, every milestone celebration is seen as a golden opportunity to empower the residents and special education students at ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran. Following wonderfully successful and impactful Bnei Mitzvah campaigns by his older siblings, Ariella (2018) and Gabriel (2019), Daniel Landsmanas Goldberg, couldn’t wait for his turn to share his big day with the ADI family.
In March, Daniel launched his Bar Mitzvah campaign and set out to raise $18,000 to help ADI secure three mobile Snoezelen units, incredible therapeutic tools that can transform any room into a multi-sensory environment thanks to a sound system, a projector, a colorful bubble column, and fiber optic cables. In an impressive display of dedication and caring, Daniel raised a whopping $24,000 in six weeks, just in time for his family’s visit to ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran during the intermediate days of Passover.
With his parents, siblings and both sets of grandparents in tow, Daniel joyfully toured the rehabilitation village and took part in a drum circle with some of the residents. The entire Landsmanas Goldberg family was blown away by the additions that had been made to the village since their last visit, including the Harvey and Gloria Kaylie Rehabilitation Medical Center, the student village, Green Care Farm, accessible amphitheater, and many elements of the special education school and Safari Petting Zoo, and expressed their desire to return “to this magical place” more frequently.
We are so grateful to the Landsmanas Goldberg family for their warmth and generosity, and we can’t wait to welcome them back to ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran very soon!
