Jerusalem Friends of ADI and Dr. Charles Landau raise awarness and funds for ADI

Jerusalem Friends of ADI raised upward of $50,000 at their 28th annual event for the benefit of ADI’s residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities, viewed this year through ZOOM and numbering over 125 participants.

Calling on his extensive knowledge and affixing viewers with his spellbinding presentation, noted historian Dr. Charles Landau provided background information and commentary on Polish Jewish history leading up to and between the two World Wars as an introduction and summarization of two short documentary films highlighting life in pre-WWII Cracow and Warsaw.

Prior to Dr. Landau’s thought-provoking presentation, a virtual tour of ADI Jerusalem, hosted by CEO Shlomit Grayevsky, granted viewers an up-close look at the remarkable educational and rehabilitation activity at ADI Jerusalem, including the center’s therapeutic swimming pool, special education classes, vocational workshop activity and more.

In lieu of in-person participation, local viewers received a lovely gift basket, including a beautiful handcrafted gift from ADI’s Ability Boutique, assorted nuts, chocolates and a small canister of fine wine.

Suzy Engel, one of the founders of Jerusalem Friends of ADI, concluded the event with words of gratitude, thanking participants for their ongoing support and extending an open invitation to visit ADI Jerusalem.
