JNF Task Force on Disabilities, Chairman of President Trump’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities Wowed by ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran

On February 24, to mark Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance and Inclusion Month (#JDAIM19), the JNF’s Task Force on Disabilities visited ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran, ADI’s expansive, state-of-the-art rehabilitative village in the south, to learn how ADI’s multi-disciplinary approach and tailored therapy plans enable each children to develop far beyond the boundaries of his or her initial prognoses and live full and fulfilling lives. The Task Force was joined by Mr. Christopher Neeley, the Chair of President Trump’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities and the former director of the Meyer Center for Special Children in South Carolina.

“I am absolutely amazed by what I am seeing here today.  It’s remarkable how ADI brings children and adults of all abilities together as the norm, so that they can live together, learn together, and play together,” said Mr. Neeley during the visit.  “It’s an incredible model that I would like to see replicated across the United States.  This is the way it should be.”

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the JNF’s Task Force on Disabilities and to all of the JNF leadership for their guidance, compassion, friendship, and vision. And thank Mr. Neeley for helping spread the ADI vision of inclusion and equity far and wide. Together, we can change the world!

We need your support!
